Vegetables are a key food group. They have many health effects and are an important part of our meals. If you want to lose weight, try eating more vegetables. One difficulty with vegetables is that they are usually best fresh and don't keep as long as some other foods. If fresh don't work for you, frozen, canned or other preserved vegetables, such as dried, are better than skipping them.
