These babies are ready for Halloween!

When there's a baby in the house, it's important to make appropriate adjustments. Babies have special safety requirements, especially as their mobility changes rapidly in the first years of their life as they become toddlers, and they are curious about their environment -- exploring, tasting, sticking little fingers and heads into smaller places that you'd expect -- standing up under furniture and falling off other surfaces. It's a wonder there aren't more emergency trips to the hospital!

Safety[]

With their young, growing bodies, babies are more sensitive to toxic substances than larger people. They are also likely to spend more time on the floor and more likely to taste or swallow small things they find.

It's important to have an older home tested for lead paint or asbestos.

With a baby crawling around a clean floor is important, not just from an aesthetic point of view, but for their safety as well.
